Most frequently asked
- What is the minimum order quantity?
For plain ready-made stocks, there is no MOQ. For custom printed paper tubes, MOQ is 1,000 per design. However we can still be flexible in ordering for small business.
- What size tubes do you sell?
We can produce tubes in any size.
All of our ready-made tube sizes are available in stock for quick delivery. You can order them blank in any quantity and they can be shipped the next day.
- Are your tubes sustainable? Recyclable or compostable?
Yes all of our paper tubes are either recyclable or compostable depending on your requirement. They are made of 100% virgin pulp paper certified FSC. At BioPaperTubes we are always exploring different natural materials, like soy inks, compostable lamination and greaseproof paper inner lining for solid cosmetics products.
- Are you paper tubes food safe?
Our paper tubes can be safe for dry goods that don't require shelf-life sustainability. Food grade paper is required for direct food contact. But we still recommend putting the product in a sealed bag and using the tubes as secondary outer packaging.
Aluminum foil and PE lining can be applied to create a food-safe, oil-resistant inner barrier. Those tubes are generally sealed after filling to make them air-tight. Sealing can be done using metal discs, which requires specialized equipment, or shrink wrapping.
- Can I get a custom sample before ordering from you?
The answer is YES! We can custom make sample based on your specification and design with a sampling charge. The charge will be refundable if bulk order is confirmed.

- Why do some caps fit tighter and some looser?
There's been an ongoing debate here, both internally with our staff and externally with our customers about what constitutes a good cap fit. The short answer is, it depends.
Because the tubes are made out of paper, which is a natural material that changes with environmental and storage conditions, and because tubes are very difficult to manufacture precisely with tightly controlled tolerances (unlike, say, injection molded plastic components), it's extremely hard to ensure a consistent cap fit across every tube ever made. There are no threads or snap-fit elements that ensure a perfect fit every time. The cap and base stay closed using tension fit.
Additionally, some customers prefer looser-fitting caps while others prefer tighter fitting caps. And because our ready-made tubes are made for general purpose and we don't know ahead of time which product they'll be used for, we've kind of left the cap issue alone. We've literally received polar comments from two different customers about the same cap fit. One customer was packaging tea and wanted tubes that were easier to open, while the other was packaging heavier candles and wanted the tube to stay tightly closed when picked up by the cap. As long as the caps don't easily fall off when the tube is turned upside down, or that they're so tight you can't pull them open with significant force, we consider it an acceptable fit. Within that range there will be some tubes that are easier to open than others.
